Patch Panels

Opticonx offers a broad range of fiber optic patch panels that support a wide variety of applications for fiber optic cable termination, splicing, patching and management.

Types of Opticonx patch panels

Wall mount patch panels: These panels are ideal for use in telecommunications rooms or other fiber entrance facilities. Our standard offer ranges in panel sizes that have between 1 to 18 LGX-style slots. Therefore, these panels can accommodate between 1-18 Opticonx LGX-style XtremeTM Modular Adapter Plates (MAPs), or LGX modules, with corresponding spice trays and pigtails. They can also accommodate 1-36 XtremeTM LC -MTP® cassettes when used with P3XRF bracket kits.

Rack mount patch panels: These are the perfect choice for data centers and other applications where the cable is being terminated in equipment racks or data cabinets. Opticonx offers these in 1, 2 and 4 rack unit (RU), sizes. These panels can accommodate between 1 to 12 Opticonx LGX-style XtremeTM Modular Adapter Plates (MAPs), or LGX modules, with corresponding spice trays and pigtails. They can also accommodate 1-24 XtremeTM LC -MTP® cassettes when used with P3XRF bracket kits.
High-density patch panels: These are an excellent choice for high-density, cassette-based applications in data centers, headends or mobile switch sites. They are available as slide-out enclosures or static panels with or without cable management. They come in 1 and 2 rack unit (RU), sizes and are specifically designed to house 36 XtremeTM LC -MTP® 8 or 12-fiber cassettes.

Extreme Density (XD), Ultra high-density patch panels: These are the perfect choice for hyperscale or other dense, high-fiber count applications. These are pre-terminated solutions and provide the highest density in the industry. Available in 2, 4 and 6 rack unit (RU), sizes and providing termination for between 288 to 864 fibers on LC connectors.

    Xtreme™ MODULAR ADAPTER PANELS (MAPs)

    Xtreme™ MAP Series adapters are designed to populate our R-series rack mount and WMP-series wall mount patch panels. They provide connection points to facilitate cross-connections or patching to network equipment. MAP panels conform to the LGX type form factor and spacing dimensions. They are available in a range of 6-144 fiber capacities and support ST, SC, LC, FC and MTP® – type connections. These panels support both multi-mode and singlemode fiber applications from 1 to 400G.

Xtreme+ Splice Cassettes

    Xtreme+ Splice Cassettes

    Pre-packaged splice cassettes with 250µm single fiber or 12 fiber ribbon for splicing to multi-fiber intra and inter-building cables

    Xtreme+ Cassettes are available with OS2, OS2 bend insensitive, OM3 and OM4 fibers with 6 (SC only) or 12 fiber (SC and LC) capacity and include splice holder/organizer, splice sleeve(s), and factory terminated 250 µm pigtail(s) 1.5 meters long. They are available with SC or LC connectors/adapters in UPC or APC polish.

    Xtreme+ cassettes for splicing provide superior protection, strain relief, and fiber routing to individual fibers in an enclosed cassette with a see-through cover for easy fiber mapping and identification. They can be installed from the front or rear of the panel enclosure and virtually eliminate panel dress out and the associated risk of damage to individual fibers and connectors during installation.

    Xtreme+ splice cassettes can be mounted in any Opticonx patch panel or housing and can be made LGX compatible with optional LGX mounting brackets.
